2009 Chevrolet Corvette

The Chevrolet Corvette is a brand new car which will be launched in the year 2009 following its success in the year 2008.

The car contains a number of features and with world class records according to the Chevrolet’s management. The car is available in coupe and convertible models with leather wrapped interiors.

Engine
The Chevrolet Corvette consists of 6.2L LS3 V8 engine in both models, which delivers 424 lb-ft torque and output power of 430 bhp. Also, the two mode exhaust system which is available optionally delivers an increased 428 lb-ft torque and output power of 436 bhp.

The engine contains aluminum cylinder with iron cylinder liners where the bores measure 103.25 mm and joins with the stroke that measures 92 mm to deliver 376 cubic inch displacement. The breathing is held through the cylinder heads which are based on the valves on the engine. These valves measure 55 mm and contains hollow stems of less weight which ensure the engines rpm capacity.

The optional features for the customers include the leather wrapped interiors and 6.2L supercharged engine that delivers an output power of 638 bhp.

2009 Chevrolet Corvette GT1 Championship Edition

The 2009 Chevrolet Corvette GT1 is a special version launched by Chevrolet.

It was launched as part of its past success in the American Le Mans, which stood as the winner for eight long years, five time winner at the 24 hours of Le Mans. The body consists of driver flags and a number of graphics on the chrome wheels and width spoiler.

It consists of a V8 engine with a capacity of 6162 cc that delivers an output power of 436 bhp at 5900 rpm and 428 lb-ft torque at 4600 rpm. The interiors in the car are covered mostly with leather.

2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1

The 2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 is considered as the American supercar which is well noted for its performance, acceleration, braking and the fastest and most powerful car manufactured by General Motors.

Engine
The Corvette ZR1 consists of a supercharged LS9 6.2L V8 engine. The engine is of exceptional performance, positive displacement and large refinement. It also contains an enlarged charge cooling system which decreases the air temperature inside for better performance. It delivers an output power of 638 bhp at 6500 rpm and 604 lb-ft torque at 3800 rpm.

The engine is hand assembled and the manufacturing style of the engine can be mainly seen in the racing engines. The iron cylinders are placed at the aluminum block which is finish-bored and sharpened by a deck plate.

Axle and transmission
The axle on the rear contains asymmetrical axle-shaft diameters to provide the finest torque management. The axles on the car are accumulated on a horizontal plane which associates with the width of tires and rear wheels.

The engine consists of a six-speed manual transmission where the top speed attains in the sixth gear. The engine also consists of twin disc clutch system that contains a couple of discs. The disc plates are about 260 mm and it provides better and smooth driving quality.

Tires, wheels and brakes
The wheels are covered with Michelin Pilot Sport 2 tires that are specially designed for the ZR1.

The wheels contain 20-spoke alloy rims where the front wheel measures 19 inches and the rear wheel measures 20 inches.

The braking system is composed of carbon ceramic rotors. These rotors measure 15.5 inches on the front and 15 inches on the rear.

Interiors and exteriors
The interiors include the light weight seats which are leather trimmed and power adjustable sport seats.

The exteriors include the carbon-fiber on the top where all the exteriors have been protected by UV-resistant coat.

2008 Chevrolet Corvette 427 Limited Edition Z06

The Corvette 427 Limited Edition Z06 is manufactured by Chevrolet in a limited version.

The car contains a Crystal Red Tincoat exterior and graphics on the cover, front face and the 427 badge. It consists of a LS7 V8 engine with 7011 cc that delivers an output power of 505 bhp at 6300 rpm and 470 lb-ft torque at 4800 rpm. The interiors in the car are covered mostly with leather.

A total of 505 cars have been manufactured in this model and the cost of the car is about $84,195 with an optional navigation system that costs around $1,750.

2008 Chevrolet Corvette C6-R

In the last season, Corvette Racing has won all eleven races to claim the manufacturers and team championships for the eighth straight year. The number 3 Corvette C6-R is driven by Jan Magnussen and Johnny O’Connell and has captured the drivers championship ahead of the number 4 Corvette drivers. Mark Kent, director of GM Racing, accepted the manufacturers’ championship trophy on behalf of Chevrolet.

This amazing car can reach 0-60 mph in less than 3.3 seconds and top speeds of 187 mph.

2008 Chevrolet Corvette 30th Anniversary Pace Car

The 2008 Chevrolet Corvette 30th Anniversary Pace Car is a specially designed car for the Indianapolis 500-Mile Race.

It was available in both coupe and convertible models and each vehicle was personally numbered and signed by Emerson Fittipaldi, a famous Brazilian race driver. The car is equipped with titanium-color interior and Indianapolis 500 logo on the seats.

The additional features in the car are five spoke aluminum wheels, Z06 rear spoilers, Indy 500 logo, LS3 V8 engine and an option for six-speed manual and six-speed automatic transmissions.

2008 Katech Corvette Z06 ClubSport

The Corvette Z06 ClubSport package is available from Katech Performance and Les Stanford Chevrolet – incorporating a wide variety of aftermarket products, in addition to a reduced curb weight to 2,915 lbs, improving on its grip, cornering, braking and down force.

Several other optional supplements that I would recommend to add to this car would be: Caravaggio leather race seats; A/C and/or radio delete and also a roll bar or harness bar and six-point harnesses. A power-to-weight ratio of 5.45 lbs. /horsepower making this a not the last good thing, completed with a 12-month/12,000-mile warranty, the Katech Performance Z06 ClubSport starts at $109,000 and is expected to maintain 50-state emissions compliance.
